What does Anti Tracks exactly do?
Anytime you’re on your computer, you leave tracks behind you. Working with documents, spreadsheets or other applications, or of course surfing on the Internet leaves a trail. Even after you leave a site, manually clear your browser history, finish working on your document or spreedsheet, or delete sensitive files from your hard drive by sending them to the recycle bin and emptying it…traces of what you’ve done are stored in hidden files on your computer. And guess what? That means they can easily be brought back by anyone in possession of basic file recovery tools!

What is the difference between “Run” and “Save” when downloading this software?
Actually, either option run or save will work for you. Selecting ‘Save’ simply saves Anti Tracks setup file on your PC. Then, you can either use this file immediately or at a later time to install Anti Tracks.
Selecting ‘Run’ downloads Anti Tracks setup file to a temporary folder on your PC and runs it immediately. This option allows you to run the software right then, but will not save it for later installation.
What is your upgrade policy?

How do I check for updates?
From Anti Tracks’ main screen, check for the latest updates by clicking on the “Check for Updates” button. This will start the Anti Tracks Update Wizard, which will guide you through the whole update process
Can I speak with a live customer service representative? How?
Certainly! Just click on the LiveChat link next to the search box in the header of the Giant Matrix website, and you’ll be able to talk with a customer service representative in real time.
Will Anti Tracks erase system files or program files?
No. Anti Tracks will only erase system files or program files if the user adds them to the “File Shredder ” window. Even when the user does this, Anti Tracks will pop up a warning message before adding those files. If you see this warning message and you are unsure if you wish to erase those files, do not add the file to the “File Shredder” window
What is secure erasing?
When you delete files from Windows, Windows just mark any file as deleted in file allocation table, but the data of the file is still in your hard disk, there are many tools available which can let others easily recover your sensitive files. Anti Tracks implements the US Department of Defense DOD 5220.22-M, NSA and Gutmann secure erasing methods which ensures that once files are securely erased with Anti Tracks they can never be recovered even when using advanced data recovery tools
Why Index.dat files still exist after I erase them?
The index.dat files are always locked during a Windows session and can not be deleted. Anti Tracks erase those files during your system reboot before they become locked. After Windows has restarted, new files will be automatically created with the same name but containing no data
Why do I see some browser history even after erasing?
If any of your browser windows are running, some tracks can’t be erased because they are currently being used by your browser windows. It is strongly recommended that you shutdown all the browser windows that you want to erase its history before starting to erase
Why search files history is still there even after erasing?
Some of the Windows erasing tasks does not take effect unless after restarting your computer. If you can still see your Windows search files history, please restart your machine after erasing in order for the erase process to take effect
Can I schedule Anti Tracks to run automatically?
Yes. Anti Tracks comes with a built-in scheduling feature, allowing you to schedule periodical erasing on your PC
How do I download Anti Tracks plug-ins?
To download Anti Tracks plug-ins, run Anti Tracks’ LiveUpdate Wizard. LiveUpdate wizard will take you step-by-step through the process to update your Anti Tracks copy and its plug-ins.
How can I create my own Anti Tracks plug-in?
To start building your Anti Tracks plug-in(s), please start Anti Tracks Plug-ins Wizard from the Settings menu.Anti Tracks Plug-ins Wizard will take you step-by-step to build your Anti Track plug-in by helping you select which files, folders, registry entries, and INI files entries needed to be erased.
Note: we recommend that you make sure you have all the correct information about what files, folders, registry entries, and/or INI files you want to erase before you start the Anti Tracks Plug-in Wizard, so that you can easily erase your preferred program tracks.
I selected plug-in (X) for my Program (Y) to erase its history but nothing happened! Why?
Plug-ins are configured to erase according to the DEFAULT INSTALLATION options of each program. If you change the install paths or any other default settings of your installed programs, the plug-in may not work properly. This can be easily fixed by updating the program plug-in paths through the plug-in wizard. If you find any problem dealing with the plug-in wizard please contact us by clicking here and we will be glad to assist you
I am having difficulty installing the software. How do I get help?
There are a couple of options:

B) Try to reinstall Anti Tracks using the instructions provided in your order confirmation e-mail.
How do I uninstall Anti Tracks?
* For Windows 98/ME/2000/XP users:
1. Go to Start, then click on Control Panel (Windows 98 and ME users, go to Settings, then click on Control Panel).
2. Double-click Add and Remove Programs.
3. Scroll the programs list until you see Anti Tracks.
4. Click on the program you wish to uninstall, then click the Remove button.
5. Once the uninstall process has finished, simply restart your computer.
* For Windows Vista or Windows 7 users:
1. Go to the Start Menu (the Windows logo button), then click on Control Panel on the right- hand side of the menu.
2. Depending on the view of your window, you will see either Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features; double-click either option.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the programs list until you see Anti Tracks.
4. Click on Anti Tracks, then click the Uninstall button (located toward the top of the window).
5. Once the uninstall process has finished, restart your computer.
How do I use Anti Tracks with multiple user accounts?
To use Anti Tracks with multiple user accounts, you must install Anti Tracks separately on each user profile.
Note: you need local administrative rights on each account for which you want to use Anti Tracks. If you do not have these rights, Anti Tracks will not be able to erase your tracks.
How do I install Anti Tracks on multiple computers?
As per our user license agreement, you must have a software license for each computer on which you want to install Giant Matrix products. To install products on more than one computer, contact us by clicking here.
Why do I get a warning that I must close my browser windows before Anti Tracks starts its erasing process?
To ensure complete and secure tracks erasing, all browsers and browser windows must be closed prior to beginning the erasing process.
I get an Access Violation Error while using Anti Tracks. Why is this?
You may get this message as the result of a damaged file, a software conflict, or an incorrectly configured Web browser. First, be sure you are using the most current version of Anti Tracks. If not, first run Anti Tracks LiveUpdate to update your copy.
If after updating, you still have trouble, follow these steps to manually empty Internet Explorer’s cache (note: do these steps, even if you do not use Internet Explorer as your default browser):
1. Close all open Windows.
2. Open Internet Explorer.
3. Click Tools.
4. Select Internet Options.
5. Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files.
6. Select Delete All Offline Content.
7. Click OK.
Restart your computer and try to erase your tracks again. If this still fails, try canceling the selections for any plug-ins installed. If Anti Tracks then erases your tracks properly, one of the plug-ins could possibly be causing the error. Recheck them one at a time until you determine which one is causing the issue.

My Anti Tracks indicates that it’s still in “trial mode,” even though I’ve already purchased it. How do I change that?
To fix this problem:
A. If you have installed Anti Tracks on more than one user profile under your Windows then you will need to Log on to each Windows user profile and uninstall Anti Tracks from each one with the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Windows Control Panel.
B. Restart your computer.
Once you’ve done this, you can re-install your fully registered version of Anti Tracks (first on the main profile then on any other Windows profile you may need to install Anti Tracks on..if any) and should no longer see the “trial version expired” screen. How do I find out the status of my refund request?
