What does Memory Washer exactly do?

What is the difference between “Run” and “Save” when downloading this software?
Actually, either option run or save will work for you. Selecting ‘Save’ simply saves Memory Washer setup file on your PC. Then, you can either use this file immediately or at a later time to install Memory Washer.

Selecting ‘Run’ downloads Memory Washer setup file to a temporary folder on your PC and runs it immediately. This option allows you to run the software right then, but will not save it for later installation.

What is your upgrade policy?

How do I check for updates?
From Memory Washer’ main screen, check for the latest updates by clicking on the “Check for Updates” button. This will start the Memory Washer Update Wizard, which will guide you through the whole update process

I am having difficulty installing the software. How do I get help?
There are a couple of options:
A) Giant Matrix offers professional installation services. For $9.95, a professional technician can remotely connect to your computer and install the product for you, ensuring that everything is set up correctly. B) Try to reinstall Memory Washer using the instructions provided in your order confirmation e-mail.

How do I uninstall Memory Washer?
* For Windows 98/ME/2000/XP users:
1. Go to Start, then click on Control Panel (Windows 98 and ME users, go to Settings, then click on Control Panel).
2. Double-click Add and Remove Programs.
3. Scroll the programs list until you see Memory Washer.
4. Click on the program you wish to uninstall, then click the Remove button.
5. Once the uninstall process has finished, simply restart your computer.

* For Windows Vista or Windows 7 users:
1. Go to the Start Menu (the Windows logo button), then click on Control Panel on the right- hand side of the menu.
2. Depending on the view of your window, you will see either Uninstall a Program or Programs and Features; double-click either option.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the programs list until you see Memory Washer.
4. Click on Memory Washer, then click the Uninstall button (located toward the top of the window).
5. Once the uninstall process has finished, restart your computer.

How do I use Memory Washer with multiple user accounts?
To use Memory Washer with multiple user accounts, you must install Memory Washer separately on each user profile.
Note: you need local administrative rights on each account for which you want to use Memory Washer. If you do not have these rights, Memory Washer will not be able to erase your tracks.

How do I install Memory Washer on multiple computers?
As per our user license agreement, you must have a software license for each computer on which you want to install Giant Matrix products. To install products on more than one computer, contact us by clicking here.

I get an Access Violation Error while using Memory Washer. Why is this?
You may get this message as the result of a damaged file, a software conflict, or an incorrectly configured Web browser. First, be sure you are using the most current version of Memory Washer. If not, first run Memory Washer LiveUpdate to update your copy.

If after updating, you still have trouble, follow these steps to manually empty Internet Explorer’s cache (note: do these steps, even if you do not use Internet Explorer as your default browser):

1. Close all open Windows.
2. Open Internet Explorer.
3. Click Tools.
4. Select Internet Options.
5. Under Temporary Internet Files, click Delete Files.
6. Select Delete All Offline Content.
7. Click OK.

Restart your computer and try to erase your tracks again. If this still fails, try canceling the selections for any plug-ins installed. If Memory Washer then erases your tracks properly, one of the plug-ins could possibly be causing the error. Recheck them one at a time until you determine which one is causing the issue.

My Memory Washer indicates that it’s still in “trial mode,” even though I’ve already purchased it. How do I change that?
To fix this problem:
A. If you have installed Memory Washer on more than one user profile under your Windows then you will need to Log on to each Windows user profile and uninstall Memory Washer from each one with the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Windows Control Panel.

B. Restart your computer.

Once you’ve done this, you can re-install your fully registered version of Memory Washer (first on the main profile then on any other Windows profile you may need to install Memory Washer on..if any) and should no longer see the “trial version expired” screen. How do I find out the status of my refund request?

No. You may install and use only one copy of the Memory Washer on a single computer. Sufficient licenses must be acquired for each shared or concurrently used Memory Washer.
